Barely two months after the start of the Iraq war in 2002, a team from the Movement for Peace -MPDL- composed of three persons travelled to the capital, Baghdad, to begin the tasks of humanitarian aid and assistance to the civil population .

Training of Iraqi doctors

The country, subject to the consequences of a fourteen-year embargo, exacerbated by military invasion, ha no electricity, no water, no gas, no supplies... The project, financed by Castilla-La Mancha, hinged on two main fronts: supply of essential drugs and consumables to health centers and hospitals, and sending medical personnel to support local teams.

In 2003, we offered training in Spain to a team of Iraqi physicians specializing in cardiology surgery. Currently, our organization continues to support the refugees of this country who are in Jordan.
